Product Description

Aluminum Foundry

Aluminum foundries play an important role in the manufacturing industry, producing high-quality aluminum castings that are used in a wide range of products.

There are four process for Aluminum foundry

1. Melting: Aluminum is melted in a furnace that is heated to temperatures exceeding 1200 degrees Celsius.

2. Casting: Once the aluminum has melted, it is poured into the mold, which is specialized made for your part.

3. Cooling: After the aluminum has been poured into the mold, it is allowed to cool and solidify. This usually takes several minutes, depending on the size and complexity of the casting.

4. Finishing: Once the aluminum casting has cooled, it is removed from the mold and any excess material is removed. The casting may then be machined or finished to achieve the desired surface texture and dimensional accuracy.

As one of the most experienced aluminum foundry in Ningbo, China, we have began our business since 2009, and there are four methods to make your parts:

Sand casting, this process in aluminum foundry is common to produce parts of large to medium-sized metal parts that have complex shapes, such as engine blocks, pump housings, and other machine parts.

Permanent mold casting, also known as gravity die casting, is similar to die casting and uses reusable steel molds to produce molded components.Molten aluminum is poured into the steel mold via gravity. After cooling, the part is removed from the mold and finished. Permanent mold castings have a high degree of structural integrity, internal soundness, and offer superior mechanical properties

The other process of permanent mold casting is Low Pressure Die Casting, or LPDC, uses low pressure to push molten aluminum SLOWLY into the mold cavity. This aluminum mold casting method produces a high quality and consistent finish which minimizes finishing operations thus saving time and resources

Aluminum foundry will use various methods to create castings according to the different parts’ request. IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHICH ONE IS GOOD FOR YOUR PARTS, PLS CONTACT US FOR CONSULTING by email: info@diecasting-factory.com or +86 13375741296 (whatsapp).
